[ and here Dorian thought that texting would be easier! Ohhhhh he was wrong. As such, he just gives up the ghost and swaps to video, giving March a small smile. ]

[Oh thank murder, March switches over too and there is actually a moment where he waves. Combined with the smile and overall cheerful disposition it may seem ridiculously enthusiastic but. Could Dorian fault anyone for being super pleased to see him? Ever?]

Now that he leans out of frame to open a desk drawer, hauling out a huge ass planner book and grabbing a fountain pen from just off screen where smoke is drifting into view. Obvious why when he follows that up by grabbing his cigarette, now in one of those fancy pants holders, taking a drag while he flips pages.]

Ah, yes. Now! Your betrothed has mentioned the sun does terrible things to him. I would assume this union to be planned for the evening hours, yes? Would you prefer to book our facilities for the tenth and eleventh?

Most definitely the tenth and eleventh. Might as well book the honeymoon suite while we're at it.

[Another puff as he nods, and then very carefully writes in the planner. It's like, painstaking etiquette classes sort of writing, obnoxious but ingrained. Possibly endearing. Possibly more endearing when he looks up with that stupidly fond and delighted smile.]

She's all yours, Mister Gray. Is there anything I should know about preferences or will that be for later?

There's a high probability we'll make a mess of the honeymoon suite. [ One of the problems when one of the people is a vampire. ] I'll pay for any stains and any damages.

[Hmm hmm hmm how far to go here with Dorian? The man can be trusted with darkness, yes, but can he be trusted to keep his mouth shut? Then again, March is providing him room and board for his wedding, and if he goes further perhaps that buys silence of a sort.]

Are you referring to the stains that are sure to come from his diet? [Which he asks like any caterer might inquire of a Vegan, or someone with serious allergies to common foods. This is all normal and routine, none of this is at all odd.] If you'd like, Dorian, we'd be more than honored to provide your Tobias with suitable nourishment for your stay here in whatever form he'd find most pleasing.

[ Well now this is interesting. Dorian pauses for a moment before continuing. Part of this isn't a secret. Part of this is him wanting to further learn more about March. But wow, that is so nice of him to offer blood/a victim/somebody for Toby. ]

I'm afraid whatever you provide might not work. Due to his vampirism as well as a restriction placed by that bitch Sabriel, Toby can only drink from the living and only with the consent of his meal.

[ another pause before ] If you can find something like that, however, I doubt we'll say no.

[He stares, ignoring the cigarette for so long the red at the end starts to turn sheer gray. And then it is gray, and March stuffs it in the ash tray with a look more fitting a man who just put it out on his tongue. This process doesn't sit right with him at all and he surely does understand such a term being used in regards to Sabriel over it.]

Not even if his meal was provided for him? He couldn't partake then?

[That sounds like overkill, thinks fictional H. H. Holmes, which surely must be saying A LOT. Who the fuck does this?]

If the meal is perfectly willing to become a meal, then he could partake.

[ And yeah, Dorian looks absolutely annoyed about this. It's stupid and dumb and FUCK YOU Sabriel. ]

[March is just amazed, really, at the harshness of what he assumes must be a punishment. How impractical. How inefficient. He'll have to inquire around later about whatever may have happened, but now is a time for less unsavory things.]

I see. [He could probably find some meals willing to be drained-ish for a vampire, he's sure. But there's also...] I'll see what I can do. If all else fails, he may feed from me.

[ Dorian can't help but raise an eyebrow because well then. That's certainly not an answer he was expecting. ]

Do you have experience with vampires? The sensation of being fed on can be...disorienting, at best.

Yes and no. We've always called it an ancient virus. A blood disorder of sorts. [Yes, the answer is yes. They have fucking vampires.] I've served as a meal many times before.

[Many times before, like, here in this world trying to make Countess not completely hate him. Life hard.]

[Yeah, yeah, TMI, but when he listens to his murder pupils give each other ghostly dating advice without ever raising an eyebrow, this barely registers. He gets it, of course, what the implication there most likely is, he just doesn't find it TMI or horribly obscene. Eyebrows go up and lips pinch down as he thinks...]

It can be enjoyable. [Any time Countess has her lips on him is enjoyable, shocker.] Weakness and wooziness after, not so enjoyable. I believe the process has been worth the hassle, however.

One of the perks of immortality, [ Dorian teases, with a little grin. Neener, neener, metaphorical neener. ] I don't get as woozy as other people.

It was odd. I'd spent so much time reduced my essence, needing no food or sleep, producing no blood of my own, that the first time was completely euphoric. The second was when I noticed all the wooziness.

Are there any other human sensations that you haven't experienced yet? I know a few people who can help out for any sort of illicit substances you might want.
